So, yesterday was our last day in Lombok, and last day of diving, in the pristine conditions we have found here. Worst visibility dive, was a dive with varying visibility between 12 and 18 meters, not exactly bad, and that despite being here in the rainy season. Temperatures were never under 29, not even at 30m depth were they lower. We did two dives again, the first was at Manta Point as many resorts call it, but as Gilles said: "We call it Sunset Point, there has been were few days where you cannot see the sunset from there, but there has only been 15 sightings on Manta Reys at this point in as many years." The dive was a drift dive over coral gardens, and with an abundant marine life. Visibility was in excess of 30 meters, and the highlight of the dive was probably seeing "White Sun", the equivalent of the phenomenon "Sort Sol" as we know it from southern Jylland. Overseeing the phenomenon was a huge green turtle, who really didn't take any notice of us.
In addition we saw a parrot fish destroying the reef, digging in deep to get to the delicacies.
A few shots from our first dive.
Our second dive was on the sunken barge Bounty. Or rather, we went in some 100 meter from the founded barge, and then followed the steep slope towards it. The top of the barge is sitting at about 7-8 meters, which makes it a very popular place with the snorkelers, who are transported to the site in totally over filled boats. They are then dumped on the barge, and after 5-8 minutes they are recalled, hopefully to go to the next spot, as if not, they have certainly been paying for next to nothing.
